Strength and Skill Produced Victory Our varsity track team, with skill and strength, worked their way to third place in Conference indoor competition. By working hard for long hours, they made a very strong showing in all of the big meets. Our team also placed third in the Morton West Invitational. Against some of the tougher teams in the area, Coach Tyree'siboys finished fifth in the big West Suburban Meet. This young team was paced by junior Russ Burr and sophomore Glen Biccichi in the distance events. Seniors Gary Cottone, Bob Arnt, and Tom Stauch, backed by juniors Marty Fujimoto, Steve Gehrke, Dave Lichtenheld, Dave Westrom, and Dave Kimball made up the backbone of our fine relay teams.
