Ralph Briska, John Warren, Keith Williams, Tim Obright, and Paul Manganaro. varsity sends four to sectionals This years varsity team had a 5 win-6 loss dual meet record. Mik Wozniak and Bill Porter were district champs, while Ed Jeffrey and Paul Manganaro took second, and Mark Kuntz took third. The first four qualified for sectionals. Wozniak went on to be a state finalist. Wozniak, the team captain, was nominated to the all-conference wrestling squad, as was teammate Ed Jeffrey.Outstanding records were Wozniak 22-2 and Jeffrey 19-4. The junior varsity squad, in its first year, went unbeaten until its last two meets, only to be beaten by East and West Leyden. Their record was 8-2, 4-2 Conference for a third place finish. Out- standing records were Scott Andrews, sophomore, 7-1, Jim Chromek, senior, 9-23 Rich Sigfried, junior, 12-Og and Tim McDermott, sophomore, 7-2. TOP: Manganaro goes for the pin. The varsity track team was led by Co-Captain Bill Biliskis in distance running and Ron Kimball in the sprints, hur- dles, and longjumps. The varsity worked very hard to place 3rd in the DPVL indoor and Outdoor Meets. The varsity won 5 and lost 1 indoor dual meets. There were a lot of injuries, and this held back some of the performances. Outstanding performers were Bill Biliskis, distance: Ron Kimball, sprints and hurdles: Bob King, high jump: Bob Rogers, high jump: Mike Bennett. 4403 Charles Gallagher, distance. The future looks very good for Willowbrook track for the next few years. The sophomores were undefeated, winning the DPVL Meet. The high spot of the season was the meet in which the frosh beat Proviso West and Glenbard East freshman teams: WB: 483 G.E., 45: and P.W., 44. In the same meet, the sophomores beat Proviso West and Glenbard East: WB 57 1!2:P.W.56 1!23 and G.E. 22. Bill Barry, Otto Geiseman, Tim Burgess, Dan Wolf, Bert Holler Bill Carvell Jeff Mayton, Bill Warren, and Rich Jett. grappler beginners demonstrate potential The sophomore wrestling squad had a DPVL record of 1 win and 6 losses, which gave them sixth place. They had an overall record of 2-8 and won the Wheaton North Quad and the Hinsdale Quad. Honorary team co-captains were Bill Carvell and Jim Prusa. Voted most valuable was Bob Chromek, and most improved was Steve Felt. Other letter winners included J. Morris. R. Ruffle, S. Felt, M. Dunning, G. Spry, T. Venezia. B. Chromek, T. Burgess, B. Grant. O. Geiseman, B. Warren, B. Carvell, J. Prusa, and B. Holler. The 1967-68 freshman wrestling team finished the season with an 8-2 record. They tied for the Conference championship with Addison Trail. Each had a 5-1 record. Outstanding wrestlers all year were Gary Zizzo, Larry Kenyon, Rich Guill, Chuck Luttenbacher, Bill Banas, and Chuck Lindley. Gary Zizzo was undefeated at 95 lbs. and was elected team captain. Chuck Lindley had one loss at heavyweight and was voted most valuable wrestler. FRESHMAN WRESTLING: FRONT ROW: V. Meyer, M.
