student council The Willowbrook Student Council is an all-school organization whose responsibility is to provide opportunities for the exercise of good citizenship in a democratic society. The main purposes of the Student Council are to govern student activities, to promote good feel- ings between the faculty and the student body, to provide students with an active part in student government, and to pro- mote inter-school and school-community relations. Council has been active sponsoring charitable projects, the Almond Drive, Homecoming, their annual Sock Hop, and the Winged Warrior. Centofante, and C senior choir receives standing ovation Senior Choir, the highest accomplishment of the Willowbrook choral department, consisted of nearly eighty members this year. The choir, under the direction of J. Maurice Dobbins, participated in the annual Christmas and spring concerts along with the band and orchestra once again this year. ln addition to these traditional activities, the choir, with the aid ofthe freshman girls' choir, the girls' glee club, and the junior choir, sold holly and winter greens during the Christmas sea- son to earn money to purchase record playing equipment for the choral room and to furnish schol- arships to the University of Illinois Summer Youth Music Camp. 26
