Through Films, speakers, and Field trips, Allied Medical Careers Club offers its members an opportunity to become acquainted with careers in the medical Field. Under the supervision ofthe club sponsor, Miss Mary Ellen McCracken, School Nurse, the club conducted a clothes drive and toured Great Lakes Naval Hospital. Awards were presented and next year's officers installed at the annual Spring Tea for Mothers. Distributive Education Teaches Responsibility Distributive Education is a three-dimensional vocational coopera- tive part-time program in the Held of marketing and distribution. Classroom instruction and activities are the first' dimension, or a . . . 3 ' nized by the teacher-coordinator. The second dimension is the learn- ing experience and training that is received on the job. The third dimension comprises the activities Distributive Education Club. The program provides a wonderful opportunity for seniors to learn about the Field of marketing. Students attend school part of the day. They take two major subjects in the morning. After D.E. classes, they go to their jobs for the rest ofthe day. The D.E. students receive one credit for in-class 'learning activities and one credit per semester for on-the-j ob training. D.E. activities include Field trips, selling concessions, and con- ventions. At the end of the year, D.E. students hold their annual Employer-Employee Luncheon.
