The powerful Brook tennis squad is led by returning letterman Gary Matthews, a junior, and Mark Tarek, a senior. Much of the success of this team will depend on the playing of Don Field, Bob Ulrich, Dave Broucek, Bob Martin, and Terry Tiegs. E11 VARSITY GOLF TEAM: FRONT ROW: Tom Leurquin, Bob Porter, Kurt Johnson, and john Porter, BA CK ROW: Dave Peterson, Ron Batzer, Rich Burgess, Craig Braje, and Coach Ladd. Golfers Have Good Prospects The Willowbrook golf team, coached by Mr. jim Ladd, started their season with an unblemished record of 2-O. The first team they played, Lake Park, was downed in short order. Glenbard West, their second opponent, was beaten by one point. This win has given the team high hopes of finishing the season with many honors. Of the eight varsity team members, four are returning lettermen. They are Ron Batzer, john Porter, Kurt johnson, and Dave Peterson. The Sophomore team, which is also coached by Mr. Ladd, has a fine record of two wins and no losses. Three of the many outstanding members are Dave Tash, Steve Larson, and Craig Ahrend. Good luck to both teams. FROSH-SOPH GOLF TEAM: FRONT ROW?
