Thinclads Post Impressive Record This year, the Varsity track team won the DPVL indoor championship. All the boys did a goodjob in the Conference Meet and Hrst places were won by Harley jordan in the high and low hurdles, Craig Donath in the two mile, Ray St. Louis in the mile, and Bill Biliskis in the half-mile. During the season Craig Donath set new school records in the half-mile, mile and two-mile. Don Kuehnle and Craig Donath were elected co- captains of the squad. SOPHOMORE TRACK TEAM: FRONT ROW Tom Dudgeon, Steve Stein, Tim Wetzel, Steve Rodriguez, Al Albano, Larry Davis, Mike Divis, jon Thomas, Dave Reid, Mitch Mathena, john Pike, Dan Pyzik, jeff Palmer, and Paul Riedel, SECOND ROW: Assistant Coach james Tyree, Manager Brian Mullany, David Kimball, Russ Burr, jeff Kammes, jeff Meskan, Rick Siegfried, Mike Haas, Dennis Sugino, Stephen Spyrison, Bob Krzemienski, Tony Venezia, jay Fuger, Manager john Brown, and Assistant Coach L. Ifliandg THIRD ROW: Head Coach A. j. Stefani, Dave Lichtenheld, Rick Vuillaume, Bruce Kepple, Dan Akerhielm, Gary The Freshman and Sophomore teams both took second places in Conference. Sophomore john Andre took a first in the half-mile, and freshmen Russ Burr, Martin Fuji- moto, Steve Stein, and Rick Vuillaume took firsts. The Freshman squad this year is the best the school has ever had. The prospects for the outdoor season are as victorious as the indoor season was. E11 VARSITY GOLF TEAM: FRONT ROW: Tom Leurquin, Bob Porter, Kurt Johnson, and john Porter, BA CK ROW: Dave Peterson, Ron Batzer, Rich Burgess, Craig Braje, and Coach Ladd. Golfers Have Good Prospects The Willowbrook golf team, coached by Mr. jim Ladd, started their season with an unblemished record of 2-O. The first team they played, Lake Park, was downed in short order. Glenbard West, their second opponent, was beaten by one point. This win has given the team high hopes of finishing the season with many honors. Of the eight varsity team members, four are returning lettermen. They are Ron Batzer, john Porter, Kurt johnson, and Dave Peterson. The Sophomore team, which is also coached by Mr. Ladd, has a fine record of two wins and no losses. Three of the many outstanding members are Dave Tash, Steve Larson, and Craig Ahrend. Good luck to both teams. FROSH-SOPH GOLF TEAM: FRONT ROW?
