Dennis Neuendorf, LAST ROW' Bruce Darr, Dennis Andrews, Al Hughs, Tom Skawski, Gary Carnahan, Joyce, Tim Obright, Keith Williams, Bruce Dusenbury, Tony Abruscato, and Bill Iwamig SECOND ROW: Rick Ralph Briska, George Thorpe, and Coach George Lonigro, Manager, Dennis Sugino, Manager, Steve Spy- Leonardi. rison, Mike Wolff, Dale Finke, Craig Arend, and Underclassmen Take Third Sophomore matmen finished a fairly successful season with a record of 5 wins, 5 losses, and 1 tie. Their Conference record was 5 wins and 3 losses, which put them in a tie for third place. The co-captains were Rick Siegfried and Dennis Neuendorf. Rick Siegfried, who was also voted most valuable wrestler, lost only one match all season. Ralph Briska was undefeated in dual meet competition, with a record of ll wins and no losses. Awards were given to the following sophomores: Al Hughes, Tom Skawski, Tom Larson, Craig Arend, Ralph Briska, The Freshmen Wrestling Squad has shown that it has what it takes. The freshmen wrestlers, coached by Mr. janoski, beat many good teams like our arch-rivals Glenbard East, York, and Addison Trail. They finished the season with an overall record of 7 wins and 3 losses. In Conference they took third with 4 wins and 2 losses. Leading the freshmen wrestlers were Bob Stuart, Tim McDermott, and jim Prusa. The squad elected Bob Stuart and Jim Prusa as co-captains, They also elected Tim McDer- mott as most valuable wrestler mainly because he finished the season undefeated. Underclassmen Anticipate Good Season The sophomore baseball team, coached by Mr. Clint Evans, started the season off on the right foot by beating the Huskies of Oak Park by a score of 3-1. After losing their second game to York 7-4, they bounced back to beat a strong Wheaton Central team by a score of 2-O. The pitchers, jeff Conner, jim Mahr, and Bob Cortesi, are looking for a Fine season. In their first three games, the pitchers let up only one earned run. The usual starters are Dave Hare Harrington, Vern Bissett, Bill Prentice, Gill Golub, Rick Vazquez, with Bill Walkup and Rich Gourley alternating at number nine. The freshmen, coached by Mr. Lloyd Scholl, are a strong-looking team. After dropping their First game to York 6-4, they came back and crunched Weaton Central by a score of 8-1. Good luck to both teams.
