Mr. Witherspoonup Bill Risner as Mr. Brophy 5 and Joe Giardino as Mr. Klein p with the corner cop Larry Fleming and Skippy Scott serving important roles as corpses. One half of the active four debaters in the Debate Club were Sophomores, Betty Short and Don Chappell. Pye. James Gray brought home a special wrestling award from the Amatur Athletic Union KA. A. U.l tournament held in Ypsilanti. With the coming of spring numerous Sophomores faces were seen on the basieball field. Track victories were won through the help of Wilburn Baldwin, James Gray, Charles Johnson, and Charles Jackson. Jesse Anthony and Jerry Penley alternated on the pitching mound for the junior varsity baseball team. Clifford Bellers, Jerry Hayes, Eddie Hugan, and Toby Scott were active in SOPHOMORE OFFICERS - baseball. Other soph 's that helped to make the record were: Skippy Scott, Floyd Sumner, Ted Mangard, and Bill Shepard. Varsity cheerleading appealed to Miriam Lundy and Judy Dupuis while Rosalene Willis, Betty Short, Ann Cofield, and Susie Bergman served on the iunior varsity squad. Money-making projects such as: candy sales, dime dances and consessions held at school after athletic events, were well carried out. However, plays constituted the highlight of sophomore participation. Sophomores having parts in the first play, The Perfect Idiot were: Marianne Greer as Carla , Donna Rideout as Rhodora , the maid, and Eleanor,Porter as Linda . The Arsenic and Old Lace cast consisted of McCoy as Doctor Einstien , Judy Ritchie as Elaine , Cooper Mike as
