Back Row: Cooper Mike, Marlene McCrady, Connie Moore, Ted Maynard. class of 1960 Guided by their sophomore officers Joe Hayes, President, Judy Ritchie, Vice President, Rosalene Willis, Secretary, and Sharon Eaton, Treasure, the Sophomores can proudly look back upon their accomphishments in sports and extra cirricular activities with pride. The Sophomores excelled in sports during l958. When the Fall brought in the football season, Sophomore James Gray, Jerry Hayes, Charles Johnson, and Roger Henderson proved their athletic skills as prospective stars. Other boys on the football team were Jesse Anthony, Lacey Bowman, and Toby Scott. ln the Homecoming game, honoring the alumni Judy Mc Kim was our re- presentative on the homecoming court. Sports-wise the class of 60 reached its height on the basketball court. At one time, four of the five varsity players con- sisted of Sophomores. They were: Clifford Bellers, Sammy McCoy, Toby Jug Scott, and Roger Henderson. Also singled out for recognition in basketball were Jerry Penley and Jerry Hayes. Jesse Anthony, Eddie Hugan, and Charles Jackson on the junior varsity. Later, Eddie Hugan, Charles Jackson, Jerry Hayes, and Jerry Penley were promoted to the Varsitysquad.
