Leading this year's Ram team were all-lcaguc bucks Bob Martin, Rudy Cuz- man, Ron Brooks, Bob XValters, Tony Canzano, and Doug Batchelder. Paul Zum did most of the ball carrying while Les Schwartz and Tim Appleby shared honors in the quarterback position. .UW- Ram IV Football team this year was not as powerful as in the past. Promising players for next year's varsity squad are Ben Rodgers, Martin Taylor, and Bruce Robinson. XVRESTLINC XVith a new coach, the Ram grapplcrs finished high in league standings. Outstanding wrestlers were Bob Terra, Bob YValters, Cliff YVeatherly, Tim F randsen, Paul Zaro, Rich Lopez, and Lou Cenicola. TRACK VAl2.SlTY This year's tcam produccd many outstanding stars. Their many victories were inspired by such stars as Ron Naymurk and Bruce Staples, The cozichcs wi-rc Nlr. Ridge, Mr. Smith, and Mr. Omelaz. ..B,, Led by such standouts as jerry McCrea, Ken- Julio, and jim Lacignola, the B track team went on to win runny mci-ts. i.C,, The C track team was sparked on to many victories by Lloyd Carson and A1 Filice. TENNIS Coach Egeland in his last year at VVillow Glen had the pleasure of producing one of the school's finest tcams in school history. Top men included Jim Toolc, Steve Cooper, Marty Taylor, and Bob Cavalaro. l-IH BASKETBALL VARSITY Ram cagers this year were the standouts of the league. Predicted to be a third place team, the Rams went on to tie for second place with james Lick and San jose, Fabulous Bnb Chamberlain kept the opponents, defense open with his fancy shooting skills, while Bill Britton, Mark Fredkin, and jerry Cayton added points in the Ram effort. A pleasant sur- prise to Coach Gil Egeland was a transfer from Stockton, Bryan Metcalf. His arrival in mid-season aided the Rams in their final bid for the title. B Ram Cagers were lead by Dave Bruni, Iunior Esteves, Les Schwartz, and Steve Perdue. Predicted to be a good team, the Rams lost their first encounters, and then went on the win trail. I.V. The Ram IV Basketball team was very talented this year, Led by Ben Rodgers and Roland Davenport, thi- Itains went on to defeat many teams. C This yearis basketball team was lead by Berry Felse, Steve Caruado, and Bob Terra. XVith excellent playing, and the help of some outstanding sophomores, the team went on to win many battles. D Romero's lightweights had mixed success in the field of athletics. The team lacked experience, and depth, BASEBALL V -XliSl'l i Ram diamond men had much success this year as Tony Canzano, Sammy Mulay, Doug Batchelder, and Bob Walters led the team in action. A present standout all through the year was pitcher Craig Minor. SOPl'l0Nl0lil'fS - Coach Randy Brown's sophomore mittmen found much to cheer about this year as they placed high in league stand- ings. Standouts were Gary Madden, Cary Carini, Roger Lasich, an Pitcher Robby Thigpen. SWINIMING VARSITY V This ycar's swimming team was led by Bob Chamberlain, Kirt Rossman, Mike lfagg, and Bob Loehr. Although pre- dicted to be only an average team, the Rams went on to beat many opponents, .B, Little Ram swimmers had mixed success in meets. Kent Saunders was the spark of the team. while Bob Colyier added many needed points. GOLF Coach Becks' linksters were tops among the league because of the fine playing of Randy Astrella, and Bob Chaffin.
