Dedzmizbn HE doors of Willoughby Union High School have been opened to students from this area for forty-one years. During this period of time many young people of varying interests and back- grounds have passed through these doors, some optimistic, some apprehensive about their individual prospects as Willoughby High School students. The school has proved a constant and a memorable factor in the lives of those persons who have attended it. To some, this school has been a home away from home during their school days, to others perhaps the building recalls memories of a less pleasant nature . It is difficult, by ordinary standards, to treat this brick and concrete edifice as though it were a person, yet in reality there is something personal about this particular building which has been the cradle of countless friendships and acenter for community activity. With this thought as our purpose,we, the class of 1956, the last to graduate from Willoughby High, would like to dedicate this book to the old school and to the future generations of Willoughby students. 4 -41
