In addition to this evening prac- tice sessions are frequently held. This year the band held a Christmas Concert, Spring Concert, and parti- cipated in two assemblies, one featuring jazz. Social activities included a Christmas party and a picnic . Awards were given to senior members at the annual banquet given in May. The club's officers - president, jim Hartlineg vice-president, janet Steinbrennerg secretary, Peg Quinng and treasurer Anne Colle - kept the band straight on the road to success at the contests. Deep thanks go to Director Charles Ruddick who inspired the band in their efforts . 19
