Diligence Marked By Well-Earned Honors As school goes on, each day passes into oblivion, but not soon forgotten are the many extracurric- ular activities, for it is through these that we have had a chance to excel in our talents and use them for everyone's benefit. WHS may well be credit- ed with sending several on the road to fame. A pie in the face is worth S5 to the March of Dimes, thanks to Jack Hickey, recipient. 34 We learned to write and put out a school paper, we performed at assemblies, in both talent shows, and variety programs. Skits brought out a new flock of comedians, M.C.'s and budding thespians. Beauty and popularity received due recognition, and we showed our generosity by contributing our hard earned money to worthwhile causes. Mayor Harold Miller honors Rosalie Bangtson with a crown of dimes as a result of her election to the role of March of Dimes queen.
