The publication of this book, your graduation from high school, your gift to your Alma Mater, and your participation in school activities are a few of the many accomplishments you can look back to with pride. Now, as you enter into a world of modern miracles and progress but also of strife, injustice, malice and frustration, I wish to commend for your consideration these lines from the first verse of the twelfth chapter of Hebrews: Wherefore seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside ever weight (ignorance, poverty, laziness, uncouthness, etc.) and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” J.
