All 148 of us shyly seating ourselves in the auditorium seats-- yes, we were first -class Green Freshman . The highlight thatyear was our Freshman Frolic held March 20. Everybody had a swell time---seniors and juniors danced, sophomores chartered, and the freshmen held up the walls. Our officers for that year were Marilyn Hicks, president, Dale Williamson, vice president, Karen Kline, secretary, Don Hudson, treasurer, and Pete Reed, sgt. at arms. September 8, 1953-- Here we start our second year as the know it all sophomores. We find ourselves in Miss Moe 's study hall-- our know it all turned to know nothing after a couple weeks. We held our annual Sopho- more Stag on November 10. This year we elected Jim Moline, president, Marilyn Hicks, vice president, Carol Hilling, secretary, Marliss Hicks, treasurer, and Pete Reed, sgt. at arms. September 8, 1954- Here,we are already Juniors. Changes this year were hour periods instead of45 minute ones and no activity period. We had our first class play, State Fair . We took first prize with our homecoming float. The big highlight was our junior and senior banquet and prom. The theme was Blue Mirage . The water tower was repainted in the flying, loyal colors of Orange and Black. Officers were Milnor Sandry, president, Marilyn Hicks, vice president, Marilyn Booke, secretary, Don Hudson, treasurer, Roger Breezeley, sgt. at arms. September 8, l955-- This starts our last and final year in W.H.S. We are looking forward to caps and gowns, class night, and commencement. October 14, Homecoming,--prettiest Royal Court, Queen's Ball, our float takes first prize for the 4th consecutive year. Mr. Syverson composed a new school song, tournaments, class play, junior, senior banquet and prom. All this adds up to a wonderful year. 90
