ANNUAL STAFF Treasurer,Judy Powell, Co Ed1tor,Tommie Crouch, Editor,Carolyn Goff Secretary,Donna Scott, Photographer,Bobby Harlow, Business Manager Jolene Thompson, CLASS HISTORY September of 1947 found fifty eight first graders timid and shy entering a new phase of life After eight years of 'reading, writing, and arithmetic taught to the tune of a hickory stick,' found thirty seven of us receiving eighth grade diplomas Each year UQ lost some students and each year we gained new ones Our Freshman year was no exception September of 1955 found forty one 'ereen Freshman,'beginning another phase of life With Nr Coleman Burke as our sponsor we elected class officers 1889? tn participate in the few activities offered, our class spontanously joined We were well represented in the Willisburg High School Chorus which was formed thi year May 5, 1956 we enjoyed a trip to Coney Island Jith the usual end of the year 8CtiV1t1BS, we flnished our first year of high school Next September we took our places at Willlsburg High School as sophomores W1th self assurance and determ1n tlon, our sponsor his year we enjoyed several parties On hay 4 we enJoyed e trlp to Coney Island This year ended quickly and happ1ly and we found ourselves half way through h1gh school september came soon and we found ourselves 'Jolly Tuniors, with an enrollment of thirty two and our sponsor Miss Edna J Smlth about the usual number of activities were offered with the usual number participating The hlghlight of this year was our JUD10T Play WGalm Yourself W e engoyed another trlp to Coney Island and entertained the seniors with a party at Lincoln Park Clubhouse The summer months passed fast and september was here again we had lost Sharon Denham, Linda Sheumaker, Blondie Dean, and Ralph Terrell leaving our graduating class with an enrollment of twenty six with Mrs Harry Settles as our sponsor To begin the year class officers, annual staff, and the senior play cast were chosen The play 'This Ghost Busbness' was a big success Ne are looking forward to a Senior Trip at the end of the year and the usual Commencement Activities and than to another phase of life 11 ,N ' e C s ' 0 O O ' O .
