ICT MEMBERS ARE THE NEW PROFESSIONALS ICT MEMBERS Bret Carter, Ronnie Myrant, Wayne King, loe Mack, Steven lones, lohny Harold, lody Monroe, lohn Zunker and Theresa Egner. f v Ex H 3 W H i Bret Carter and lerry Roach show their projects that went to state. The Industrial Training Students had a year that was rift with all kinds of difficulties. The Vocational Industrial Clubs of America QVICAJ had a membership that varied with the enforcement of House Bill 72 . . . and you all know what that means!!! lody Monroe was elected President of VICA and en- couraged attendance at the six meetings that were held. The club had a fund raising pro- gram for money to attend contest. Four students, three seniors and one junior won First prize at Area VIII VICA skills contest. Bret Carter won Fourth in State in Photography, the first Cooperative Training Student from Willis to ever win in Hands on Competition. The highlight of the year was the Employer-Employee Banquet which was held in April. The VICA Clubs are looking for- ward to a banner year in 1985-86 and would like to wish all ICT-VICA seniors Good Luck and Happy Hunting. 193

THE 'IDE fl: This year Willis High School offered a new course of instruction Computer Literacy. Instructors, William Van Alstyne and Helen Crosby, met the challenge of teaching the students the fine art of programming. The computer lab holds thirty five Commodore 64's. Students learned the basic computer language, pro- gramming techniques, and data processing. WISD hopes the computer based instruction will help prepare the students for a computer future.

Construction Trades classes of Willis High School are taught by Mr. Don Ottosen. This voca- tional class teaches the student working skills in the construction business. The class becomes in- volved in a host of activities, the largest being the construction of two houses.
