HUIQTICULTUIQE 84-85 DLANTINI3 FDD THE FUTURE This years horticulture class did many projects to help the community, such as landscape projects in the high school and city parks. At Christmas and Valentines they sold spring budding plants for gardens and fruit trees! This year was very rewarding and productive for the horticulture department. Thanks for all your work. 1984-85 AUTOMOTIVE CLASS Tired - after a long class Have you ever had car trouble? Auto Mechanics is a program in Willis High School that teaches students how to cope with car trouble. Although newly reinstated, Auto Mechanics teaches extensive trou- ble shooting, brake repair, engine repair, carburetor rebuilding, transmission repair, tune-ups, and many more valuable skills. Students learned how to keep up with customer orders, get parts, and deal with customers on a personal basis. Auto Mechanics is a skill that is useful to anyone. AUTO DTIVE MECHAN CS 21

SDAN SH CLUB 84-85 LDS GATDS SA VAJES This year's Spanish Club, Los Gatos Salvajes had a great year! The Spanish club is the largest club in the school with 75 members. The club is also affiliated with the Pan American Student Forum in San An- tonio. The club came bade to Willis with many awards. Melissa Nixon won a summer scholarship to Mexico. Pam lohnson received a third place ribbon in the vocabulary contest and Melissa Nixon received first place. Aside from the individual awards that were won, the club's scrapbook won first place out of the many schools from across Texas. The Pan American Student forum Convention was not all the Spanish Club did this year. ln September, the club had a picnic and Bar-B-Q at Huntsville State Park. In December they had a great Christmas party at Cindy Hood's house. The Spanish Club sponsored many fund raisers and charity drives. In November they helped clear land for a community project. The Spanish Club is greatly appreciated by Willis High.
