THE 84-85 W.H.S. STUDENT COUNCIL 5 r 5 The 84-85 student council sponsored Homecoming thi: year. they were in charge of the Homecoming parade ant election of the Homecoming Queen. Sweetheart Nigh was also headed by the student council. At Christmas time, the student council collected toy: and donated them to Toys for Tots. ln the spring of '85, the student council had a slave day in which the student council members ar. I participating teachers were sold to other students. Overall, this ha: been an active year for the student council. Sponsors fo the Student Council were L. Daniel and F. Harrison. The years special event was the Nature High Olympics held ir April. Everyone had a great time!

Academic Decathlon was a new program at W.H.S. this past year and the pilot team got off to a great start! After many weeks of study and research the members competed in ten different academic categories producing results that made all the hard work and effort pay off. Willis is very proud of its Academic Decathlon Team of 1984-85 and will be looking forward to future Afd teams keep- ing the high standards this one has set. l.V.: Top Row, L-R: Tim Bogardus, Chris Schreck.
