WILLIS STUDENTS WIN 2ND PLACE TRCPHY AT DISTRICT U.I.L. involves many different events. U.I.L. in- cludes writing, math and science competition, giv- ing students chances to compete in academic ways as they will have to do after high school. Along with the competition comes the opportuni- ty to meet people from other schools. This year U.I.L. was held at Cleveland High School for District. Willis won second place with a total of 216 points. Students who placed in their area of competition went to Blinn College for regional competition. Lance Cade swept several newspaper events to become high point man for Willis. J W gf Lance Cade is congratulated by the school board for winning top honors at UIL competition. I 99
