BOARD OF EDUCATION We the Seniors of 1955 want to thank the school board for their help in making our schooljusta bit better than it was before. Few students realize what our local school board members go through in order to hire the excellent teachers which we now have, or the many hours spent late at night balancing our school budget, and the solving of other school problems. They offer to all of us a place in which to learn if we do so want. We the semor class ofW11l1amsv1lle H1gh School would hke to ded1cate the 1954 1955 yearbook tn memory of WILLIAM VASCONCELLS Mr Vasconoells served as a member of the hrgh school board of educatron at Wrlhams v1l1e for twenty fxve years Durmg IhlS trme he served on the educatronal commxttee whmch mtervlewed the teachers to teach at our school He was also on the bulldrng comrmttee whrch bu11t the new hlgh school gym He was mterested III school BCIIVIIICS and especrally basketball HIS enthuslasm for that sport won h1m recogn1t1on throughout the state and hrs acquarntances among teachers coaches and Off1C181S numbered hundreds One doesn't hst h1s fnends by dozens or even by hundreds for every boy or g1r1 who ever passed through the W11l1amsv11le Htgh School dunng those three decades belongs tn that army so does every teacher And the scores of other coaches off1c1als and fans who came to know htm also mourn hrs passmg There was only one B111 Vasconoells
