With sincere appreciation, we, the senior class of 1969 gratefully dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Nolen V. Leach, our superintendent, who has served our school well and given his devoted services for our utmost benefit during his four short years here. We shall never forget his broad smile and understanding concerning everything we have done. We would like to thank Mr. Leach for the enthusiasm he aroused in our inspiring history classes, for his everlasting patience in coaching our basketball teams, and his grandfatherly personality that has kept all students in our school in the same family at all times. The senior class gratefully dedicates this yearbook to Mrs. Merle Sharp, our faith- ful sponsor who has patiently gone through many trying times with us during these past four years. When we refused to get serious and plan our events and practice our play, she smiled and tried desperately hard to make us understand the necessity of these things, never saying anything harsh or hurting anyone in any way. Inter- rupting her classes to get candy from the home economics room didn't produce any drastic effects, although we were told that we were eating up our profit. We all admire her lady-like ways and soft voice, although we haven't yet found out how she maintains them at all times. She never failed to be around when we needed her, and many times her husband willingly dedicated his services to our class, making our thanks double.
