eia ss [Prophecy What has become of our classmates was our question that day In 1967, when we wandered Into the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York where we, the 1957 seniors, were to hold a reunion. Who should we meet first, but Jean Lasswell, who is a renowned scientist at the Atomic Energy Plant at Oakridge, Tennessee. Jean tells us that she is happily married to the owner of the plant. Alas, but could this be Sarah Nichols coming down the hall? Sarah was mar- ried just out of high school, but our little Sarah is not infamous. Sarah has made her mark in the literary world by writing many famous poems, Almost as good as Longfellow's, so some say. Who could that funny man be, but our own class clown. Bob Murphy, the second Red Skelton. Bob is prospering well as a comedian with the help of his sweet wife. We met Ellen Nichols Just at the elevator door. She tells us that she mar- ried a multi-millionaire whom she met at college. Ellen has just gotten back from a cruise on her yacht to Cuba. She had her husband and child with her. And there is Mary Schork. Mary is tops in the dress designing field. She has toured England, France , and other countries and Just recently, Mary has received high credit for her latest design. It was a silver sheath dress. We find Wanda Tripp quite at home in New York, as she is editor of Charm Magazine. Wanda tells us that she is engaged to a jet pilot. Last, but not least, is Darryl Ridgely, who is just out of the Air Force and looking for a wife. He says that he never could make up his mind about women. ----Mary Schork and Wanda Tripp 8
