We, the Junior class of 1950 and 1951 walked up the stairs into high school (1948-’49). It was a scaring moment for Donna Joy and Karl Bishoff from down stairs and Nancy McFarland and Mary Owens from Fairview school. But with the three efficient teachers: Faith Saunders, Pauline Hackamack and Louis LeDoux, we soon felt as if we were as sophisticated as the Seniors. Donna and Karl were both in the Junior play while Karl was also in the Senior play. Donna, Nancy, and Karl all three played basketball. When the next year came forth we were 'Snappy Sophomores , with changes made in the school and teachers. Mr. LeDoux remained while Mrs. Beulah Gould, Mr. Norman Merrell, and Mr. Edward Miller were new. We were still the smallest in number, but nevertheless Donna and Karl were chosen Queen and King of the P. T. A. Carnival of 1950. Donna and Mary were both in the Senior play. Donna and Nancy made the first team in basketball while Mary was score keeper for the girls. Karl also played basketball. Nancy was in the Junior play. Now here we are Jolly Juniors . We were happy and proud to gain Geraldine Stotler from St. Patrick. We gained Mr. A1 Pabst in the place of Mr. Edward Miller. Donna, Nancy Geraldine and Karl were all fortunate enough to be one of the main players on both ball teams. Donna was elected captain of the girls’ team. We were also glad to give our Junior class play Who Killed Aunt Caroline so successfully.
