My Prophecy There will always be sunshine and sorrow, There will always be sparkle on dew, And there will always be that tomorrow That will bring back the memories of you. For, the senior class, will not return When the bell rings in the fall; For each will go his separate way- Sweet memories to recall. Now there is Mable Cain so prone To patch a sock and keep a home. To love and cherish is her guide And may the gates be open wide. Lovely little Imogene Joy, To give her love to just one boy And to the alter she will go, Before another year or so. And you can bet that Margaret Bevans too Will lay her books aside, and bid adieu, To find a love so kind and true And build a home for just ‘‘we two . Now Marjorie Lillard will stay clear. And try to start a great career Where it will take a lot of grit, But her motto is, ‘‘Now don’t you quit”. Leola Lillard wants not fame But for herself, her health regain, To keep in school and ‘‘let me see’’ To try to make that college degree. All the girls prophesy I’ve told. And yet one more I do behold Now in this senior class, a man Kennith Selway, the radio fan . All the class a model be All to me, sweet memories All you do is wait and see What becomes of my prophesy. By Leola Lillard
