Jackson. f utuRe f ARmeRS of AmeRica The Future Farmers of America, or F.F.A. as it is commonly known, is the national organization of, by, and for boys taking voca- tional agriculture in public secondary schools. The F.F.A. is an intra-curricular activity having its origin and root in a definite part of the school ' s curriculum— vocational agricul- ture. Among other things, members learn through active participation how to conduct and take part in a public meeting, to speak in public, to buy and sell cooperatively, to solve their own problems, to finance themselves, and to assume civil responsibility. The foundation upon which the Future Farmers of America organization is built includes leadership and character development, sportsmanship, cooperation, service, thrift, scholarship, improved agriculture, organized recre- ation, citizenship, and patriotism.
