Carmany. The only outstanding memories in the freshman and sophomore years were the lovely parties we enjoyed. In our junior year, Mrs. Ensfield became our assistant sponsor, coaching our successful mystery play, 'TIGER HCUSE,' and giving us valuable suggestions for our Courtesy Week. The Junior year was climaxed with entertaining the sen- iors to an unique banquet. he theme of the fete was NLa Boutique de Musique' and the entertainment was provided by Mr. Earle T. Parchman of station W.J.I.M. Lansing. The Senior Class began its activities by electing the following officers: Bruce Fowler, pres.g Dale Gorsline, vice pres.g Ivan Rice, secretary and treas.g Lucile Durkee, Maurice Smith, and Stanley Dunckel, lst. semester Student Council representetivesg and Virginia Barrows, Ivan Rice, and Robert Overholt, 2nd. sem- ester representatives. Mrs. Ensfield assisted by Mr. Bray, replaced Mr. Carmany in advising our class, since Mr. Germany accepted a position in Flint. The sen- iors gave as their annual play 'SMILIN' THROUGH' which was a tremendous success. They cooperated with the F.F.A. in sponsoring a successful carnival, the Junior Class in planning the Junior-Senior Prom. The Seniors published WThe Hornetu under the editorship of Luc and Maurice Smith and the managership of Robert Overholt and John Clausen. qScho1astic honors were achieved by Myrtle Tobias, who was named valedictor- ian and Lucile Durkee, the salutatorian of the class.
