When I falter, give me courage, When I tire, renew my strength. When I weaken because I ' m human, Inspire me on to greater length, If doctors and patients become demanding, and days are too short for all my duty, Help me remember I chose to serve, to do so with grace, and s piritual beauty. In humility Lord, I labor long hours . . . and though I sometimes may fret; my mission is mercy — abide with me, That I may never forget. . 17

A nurse is knowledge shining with a ray of hope for all, With talent and with courage to re- spond to duty ' s call — A dedicated heart and watchful eyes throughout the night, A voice to comfort and assure that all will soon be right — A nurse is constant reassurance, firm but gentle hands, A smile that tells each patient some- one cares and understands — A nurse is all these things and so much more. 16

SENIORS We have finally made it to our Sen- ior year, and the day we have been striving and waiting for is drawing near. When we were Freshmen, it seemed as though the days of being a senior were far in the distance. But as we gained much valuable experience, we discovered that our Senior year used that knowledge and experience as a foundation. Our senior year has been a time for learning and expand- ing our role as nurses. Now as we leave as graduates, we will continue to grow as professional nurses.
