emmuGw DORIS MAY PICK While Jim Croce was singing about life and times, Nixon was fighting Water- gate, and Women ' s Lib sought equal rights, WHSN was experiencing the char- isma of Mrs. Doris Pick, whose influence will remain a vital part of our personal and professional lives. Although only on the staff for two years, Mrs. Pick ' s pres- ence has had both a direct and indirect influence on the careers of students and will for many years to come. In the classroom it seemed as though she was restrained. She did her teaching naturally on the units or relaxing after hours. Here she talked with us, demonstrated to us, but most of all, worked with us. No question was too stupid, no opinion too ridiculous. That sort of makes a student relate to a teacher - person to person, and that ' s the way it should be. For us, that ' s the way it was. The Class of 1975 is then proud to dedicate this yearbook to Mrs. Doris Pick and to the ideals for which she stands.
