Illlllll In appreciation to Mr. Edward H. Livingston, our class adviser, the class of 1954 wishes to dedicate this 35th volume of LA MEMOIRE. Mr. Livingston, a native of York, Pennsylva- nia attended Susquehanna University and Chio State where he received his MA. Degree. Before becoming class adviser he had served as LA MEMOIRE adviser for 7 years and is at the present time a member of the Commercial Department. During his three years as class teacher, Mr. Livingston has done a great deal toward fulfilling the wishes and hopes of our class. Through him we have been given help and understand- ing vvith all our problems and because of his Don't shoot 'til you see the whites of tireless efforts our class has realized many of its ambitions. For these and many other reasons we sincerely say thanks for making our three years of high school ones we'll never forget. their eyes. Charting the Course . . Yes, another year has ended at Williamsport High. And for some of us it was not just another year, it was our last year. It's all over and we've graduated. We're on our own now. It seems strange leaving the old school for the last time as a student. From now on vve'll have only fond memories of our high school days, our athletic teams, our dances and parties-yes, and even those anxious hours during examination periods. There's no doubt about it, we've had some of the best years of our lives here at W. H. S. We're going to miss every moment of it-from our first day as bewildered sophomores to our last day as members of the graduating class of 1954. On the pages that follow, we, the members of the LA MEMOIRE staff, have compiled some of the highlights of this 1953-54 year. It is our hope that in the years to come these pages will recall the happy days we have spent together as students at Williamsport High. 6 as
