Back in the days of the Williamsport Lumber Kings, there really were a lot of honest-to-goodness million aires. E ervone scram- bling to the hard-to-find classrooms where (iu were taught new, unfamiliar subjects b new teachers who made ou do a little more work than in pre ious schools. But this strangeness slowly anishcd during the hitter part ol the sophomore ear and the junior ear, .ind h the time ou were seniors I saw a complete re ersal ol the sophomore ear. E ' er ( nc knew c.ich other and you knew eycry hall and room in the school. You were eager to learn and the teachers were (iur best friends. After the first fevy vyeeks of getting settled, the football team launched the first exent of another successful ear here .it the high school with a spectacular 16 to 14 defeat of Sunbury. With the Cherry and White Band marching at hall time this season faded awav and the basketb.ill .intl wres- tling teams and the winter activities took o er the spotlights. Class play try-outs then brought us into Spring. The ear was just about oyer. Class Day, the Senior Play, Junior-Senior 1 lop. Baccalaureate, and Craduation were left. I hen what? But enough of this sentimentalism. 1 he good old school il.ixs will he the happiest da s ol iiur lile ten eais Irom now .ind this book. 1 hope. I with me in it ' will help remind ou.
