Senior Class Play June Mad, a rollicking comedy of modern youth, directed by Mrs. Elizabeth Reed Mann, was presented April 18 and 19 in the high school auditorium. This play by Ryerson and Clements concerned Penny Wood and Chuck Harris, the boy next door, as they went about the frequently difhcult, but always amusing business of growing up. When Penny's Uncle Mervyn, only five years older than she, brought Roger Van Vleck, a killer-diller, home from college, she forgot to be a man-hater and succumbed to an attack of calf love which was ten degrees worse than measles. The discovery that Roger was double-crossing Mervyn by stealing his girl brought her back to normal and, incidentally, to Chuck. This very superior show was highlighted by Millie Lou's constant pestering and by Julie Harris' fatal charms. 16
