T0 the Members of the Class of l94l Three years ago when you were placed in my charge, to guide, to counsel, or to direct, as the case might be, I was overcome with the magnitude of the responsibility. I had my misgivings as to the success of the undertaking, doubts as to my being able to carry it on to a successful conclusion. Today, however, I can look back with a feeling of pride and satisfaction on the way you settled yourselves to the tasks to be done, knowing my efforts would have been in vain without your prompt obedience to instructions and rules laid down. I very much appreciate your willingness to work for the good of the class and your hearty cooperation in anything I asked you to do. Your accomplishments during your high school years have been many and variedg moreover, there seemed to be a desire among you to make a success of the job and you can rest assured that your action in this respect was a source of joy and pleasure to me.
