highest ambltlon to be semors With the help of Don Johnson president Clara Green vice president Bob Peterson secre tary and V1rg1n1a Ross treasurer they completed their first minor step The followlng year on September 4 1942 slxty five of thls class re entered to struggle on ward toward their goal Thls year Don Slauter acted as president Don Johnson vice president Maxme May secretary and treasurer They finished their second step not discouraged now but w1th a little more confidence to contmue In thelr junior year fifty five of this mighty group were still together wlth Clara Green acting as president Don Slauter vlce president Bar bara Flmt secretary and Don Johnson treasurer Everyone began to bulld up encouragement at the thought of really belng a senlor next year After pretty proud of themselves Senlors' Yes forty four of the same group achleved their goal 1n 1945 and with much success This term Bob Peterson was elected president Barbara Flmt v1ce president Joyce Zenor secretary and Tom Flesher treasurer These forty four people who four years ago looked very bewildered and green achieved their final goal and were hlghly awarded for their hardships and all endurements w1th a diploma from the Williamsport Hlgh School Our freshman class party consisted of dancmg and a varlety of contests with refreshments dur ing the evenmg We varied our sophomore party by attending the theater before commg to the school for danc mg and refreshments Our junior party was planned as a nlght club arrangement During the evenlng a Truth and Consequence program was carrled out Some of the class presented a mock wedding Refresh ments of sandwiches and cokes were enjoyed The crownlng event of our junior year was the junlor senior reception The semor class party was very successful Dancmg was enjoyed all evening with music furnlshed by the juke box Several of the class played ping pong and cards The tables were decorated ln blue and white and refreshments were served by candlelight A farewell party was given by the semors ln honor of four senior boys who entered SEFVICC The tables were decorated with the boys names IH the center of each table Refreshments were served and singing was carried on durlng this time A very enjoyable evenlng was spent by all We have tried to make our convocation pro grams varied and interesting The freshman convocation in 1941 conslsted of a puppet show and choral readmg by the fresh men The puppets made and dressed by class members presented a two act play The Three Wishes on a cleverly constructed stage As sophomores we gave a clever one act The junior convocation was composed f several mlscellaneous numbers presented by talented members of our class The seniors presented the play Be Home by Mldnlght for the1r last convocation Some musical and instrumental numbers were also given Our convocatlon programs were trammg Helds for our two class plays Prgtalls given in our junior year was a hlghly successful play Due to well planned advertising we had the largest crowd ln the history of our school How ever Super Susy our semor play was cancelled out of respect to Albert Slhler We are truly proud of all of our classmates We thmk they as members of Athletic Assocla tion basketball and baseball teams glee clubs band orchestra and Gliders Club have done their hare toward maklng Bmgy High School an institution to be proud of We owe our success to our sponsor Miss Ber niece McCord who guided us successfully through the four steps of our high school career JOYCE ZENOR 45 History hath triumphed over Time which besides it future at any tlme for whrch rt was set I decrded to look up my classmates to see what they would be dolng rn 1955 I adjusted the machrne to my eyes and thls rs what I found the class of 45 dorng In Chrcago I found the famous woman law yer Maxrne Martln defendrng publrc enemy No 1 Jr Clark Detectrve Tom Flesher was on the wrtness stand at the trme When Judge Rrchard Beason asked Mrss Martrn where she learned to be such a good lawyer she explarned that she got most of her experrence argurng wrth Mr Prrbble her hrgh school crvrcs teacher Among the Jurors I recognrzed the socrally promrnent Theresa Krng wrfe of Chrcagos rrchest crtrzen Slttrng next to her was her mard Roberta Balser I ther' turned to Hollywood and found that Producer Don Johnson was havrng trouble wrth the star of
