Senior Class Otlicials PARK HUNTER EUGENE KERST Vice-President Secretary-Treas. JANE ELLEN BLIND President Rcmlnisccncc A graduate of the class of '37 sat before a huge fireplace, one of those cozy kind that can make a person go back and remember the incidents in past years. A grin creased his face as he thought of the fifty-nine students who came to Bingy in 1933-34. The remarks of upper classmen ran like this: Oh, here comes the freshies! Don't they look green and funny? Ah, yes, he suddenly remembers that Leo Phelps, who dropped out in the second year, was elected our president. Time marches on. It wasn't long until we answered to the word sophomores Perry Hamilton was presidentg Park Hunter, vice-presidentg Mary Smith, secretary-treasurer. However, 1934-35 was our insignificant year, as we didn't do much. Now 1935-36 was a busy year for us, the graduate soliloquized, as he thought of the work shouldered for the Junior-Senior Reception, the Junior play and various other incidents. Several boys were on the basket ball and baseball squads. Night life was experienced also, by parties given by different classmates. This was the year, too, that Mrs. Dorothy Marquis Culver, our sponsor, turned us over to Miss Stewart and went to Lafayette. Park Hunter was our president, Olive VVatson, vice-president, and Frances Thomas, secretary. Enter 1937. Don't say our class didn't have variety. Miss Stewart went away and left us to Miss Sims. The girls took a hint from the government and formed a caucus, thereby having Jane Ellen as presi- dent. Otherwise, Park and Eugene Kerst filled the oiiices. Three of our boys helped win the sectional for Bingy. In due course of time, events came off as scheduled: the operetta, the play, baccalaureate and the exeunt of 34 graduates of 1937. Page four
