To the Class of 1959 William M. Thackeray once said, The world is a looking-glass, and gives back to every man the reflection of his own face. This philosophy sug- gests that we develop our talents and abilities to the maximum in order that we may always be proud of the image we reflect in l.ife's mirror. Your graduation from high school represents the achievement of a goal of which you may be justly proud. But it will be meaningless Luiless you are willing to continue learning and applying what you have leamed in the future. We are proud of you and hopeful that as you travel Around Our World your achievements will enable you, at any point in your life, to be proud of the reflection of your face which the world gives back to you. Sincerely yours, Dr. Harold N. Langlitz HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL pw Gigi .nf Z g 7, GRADE PRINCIPAL 0 IWW WM 72 ,wg , 7 WI JMU' To the Class of 1959 You are pioneers standing on the threshold of a new and challenging era. Your very existence may depend on how well you use your knowledge and under- standing of other people around our world. This becomes of paramount importance as our world horizons rapidly shrink and knowledge of our uni- verse expands. It is a challenge of each individual to use his education in the best possible way to im- prove our world for all mankind. ,,,.,,9V,Zvfl-V11 Dana Wilbur Elementary Supervisor
