S1915 fill UR school newspaper, The Splinter , is put out month- ly, featuring special essays or timely poems, Teachers of the Month , Personals , Boys and Girls of the Month , and added attractions, such as jokes and cartoons. We have composition contests during the year for Iun- ior and Senior High students, and there is always space for Grade News. This year we bought a badly-needed ping-pong table with the funds from our Splinter sales, and Editor Al Zonne- ville presented it to the school. FIRST ROW: S. DeFisher D. Bongard L. Johnson J. I Log Staff lays plans. Left to right: Miss Evelyn Mattison, Advis- org Gordon Taillie, Art Editor, Margaret Jicha, Editor-in-Chief, Jerry DeRoo, Sports Editor, Lois Day, Circulation Manager, Nancy Howard. Literary Editor, Bruce Karstetter, Business Man ager. IQD6 HAT a wonderful feeling to have completed The Log of 1951. This Senior year has been a busy one, and the editing of The Log has meant real sacrifices in pre- cious time and other activities by the staff members. It is with a great deal of satis- faction, however, that we present our medieval theme, the product of the year at Wil- liamson Central School. Our deep thanks go to all our classmates who have helped us with the typing, the selling of ads and subscriptions, and the innumerable small but necessary tasks in pub- lishing this book. Our gratitude is extended also to Mr. Todd, for his assistance with the art workg Mr. Van Vleetg who has given so much of his valuable time in providing us with pictures, and Miss Mattison, whose suggestions and willing aid have made our work so much easier. jfnfm fW'i Editor 36
