I have been developing a tech- nique of reading with my eyes closed. There is nothing so re- laxing as sitting back in your easy chair with a bowl of French fried onions and reading the evening paper with your eyes closh. Think I'll try the Daily Freeman Register tonight. Hey, what are these headlines! Melvin Nixon has perfected a guided missile that never misses. Looks like Pete has a job with the air force now. He is even living in Cape Canaveral. He always was pretty good with the rubber bands and spit balls. Maybe it paid off. This looks interesting. Wray Welsch, head forest ranger in Yellowstone National Park, rescued stunt pilot Virginia Ricke. Ginny crashed her private plane while trying to tie a bow with her jet streams and wandered around for a week trying to find civilization. Just as she was about to tumble into Old Faithr ful, Welsch rushed up and caught her by her pony tail H is being given an honorary membership in the Campfire Girls A famous rock and roll singer got called to the army Dick Groves, after making a few billion dollars on his latest record 'Take Me Back to the Belgian Congo', has had his name on every thing from lipstick cases lDick's Dirty Pinkl and perfume bot tles to hog feeders and chicken brooders The government will loose five million a year with him in the Army Looks like history repeats itself Larry Holtkamp, a small Iowa farmer with five thousand acres and four major rivers, has succeeded in crossing corn and oats In the spring he plows his field with his self propelled A3 bottom plow Then he plants beans In the fall he runs them through his hay baler and corn and oats drop out of the pods This cuts down on the bean production, but it sure fools the corn borers Here's an advertisement Earl Geitz has his own filling station and is selling flite fuel CLooks like he is etting some Phillips products on the black market J He put a 19 5 Cad illac motor in his little '51 Chevy He sits in the trunk and uses it as a tow truck If it wasn't for the tractor tires on the back and the power glide in the front, he might get it all the way up to no m p h Think I'll try the sports page Dog one ' My old buddy Mike Hames made the headlines Famous ig Game Hunter Kills Elephant with Sling Shot Seem as though he put some D D T on a lemon drop and than hit the elephant in the mouth All that practice with lemon drops in literature class must have paid off Dragster Digs a Ditch LeRoy Johnson, the human mole, left ruts lb inches deep in an asphault track with a hopped up ' Ford convertible Here is a picture of it. Try to keep it in the family, Jerry. I, Danny Keane, will my vocabulary to Larry Trampel. Then you will have a sufficient venacular to impress and confuse the teachers. I, Melvin Nixon, will my desk in study hall to anyone who likes a desk that squeaks. I, Karen Pampel, will my job as a cheerleader to Rowena McCartney. Along with this goes the old cheers and my worn out cheerleading outfit that is well broken in. To develope a good voice for cheerleading I suggest you practice yodeling or hog calling. I, Pat Scallon, will my ability to lose my bracelet and watchtoGwen Groves. Don't worry too much, Skinner, always finds them. Lois Thorson, will my 60 word typinglmn to Donna Cady With your speed and my speed you should be able to type 150 words a minute I Karen Trampel, will my job in the office after dinner to Ann Tay lor Don't make too many personal telephone calls Asher Walker, will my little 'L9 Fordto next years drivers train ing class It has a real live motor you can take apart I, Wray Welsch, will my ability to get to school by eight o'clock to George Jensen With this you ought to make it before nine In witness thereof we have here with set our hand and seal to this our last will and testament President QA!
