Xa 153310 Nay back inthe good old days fl9b9J ourciass entered the Wil113MS Hivh School as freshmen We soon fell 1ntO8 usual pattern tocnntinue ntil we graduated This was belng seated in classes alohabetlcally The members were as follows Fern Arends, Arlene Barz, D v1d Baumann, Duane Behrens,Joan Brekke, Jack Campbell,Jean Campbell, CarolynChyler, Helen Hames,thm Holdgrafer, Waynekbwe, Joan Isvlk, Gesley Keane, Frank Nerz, Agnes Neff, Ida Olson, Pauline Uthe, Ray Vnlzamott, and Won 'llliams As freshmen we had a lot to learn so we elected some offlcers to lead us,they were Presldent Ge ley Keane, V1ce Presldent Joan Isvlk, Qecretary Helen Hames,Treasurer Carolyn Cayler Our class sponsor was Wevere extremely brave little busy bod1es, everyone tried out for extracurricular act1v1t1es Nhsic was our biggestactivity with all but one participation Joan ISV1k was the flrst lucky member to letter in music In the way of sports Fern Arends was the only freshmen to letter in basketball, and Don Willlams was the only freshmen to letter in baseball All but four reported for athletic practice Probably the most memorable night of this year was the freshmen sophomore hunt To our regret, we failed to find any of their three vrouos, so we had to fish out some treat money One day, in March, a short, blonde, dimpled young fellow came to 1oin our class Edward Nowlin had ploneered all the way from Nebster City Oh! and did I tell you, we're quite proud of our set of twins, Jack and Jean Campbell Notevery class can boast abouttwins We even go them one better, they are the first boy girl set to graduate from Williams The freshmen home economic girls acted as waitresses for a dinner served the school board, which was prepared by the senlor girls Achievement Day came at last when every sliver ofvood was swept from the shon floor, and the last good polishing of furniture was put on by the boys The girls were busy also, pressing the last pleatcr finishing a few stitches on garments to be worn in the style show The 'Ledgesn at Boone was the scene of our class picnic The sophomore year started with an even twenty ten girls andtsn boys Ns found later that this was sort of a disadvantage when voting on motions duringclass meetings Officers at classnsetings were Pre sident Joan Isvik,V1ce President Don Williams, Secretary Jean Campbelp Treasurer Prank Merz Class sponsor was Miss Vincent Only five practiced sports, with Fern Arends, Don Williams, and Davidmumann receivingletters. Carolyn Cayler and!-blen Hamas received letters as 'hot on the ball' cheerleaders. Joan Isvik spoke over radio KJFJ in Webster City on 'Christmas Sea1s.'
