' ' . n HISTCRY, continued ulass off1cers chosen for the Junior year were Pres1dent Burton Dickinson, Vice Presldent Irene Greufe, Secretary Jane Ruby, and Treasurer Ronny Knickerbocker Shortly after school began that year they ordered thelr class rlngs which arrlved early the next year The Juniors lost at the Junlor Senlor hunt that fall They d1d have the satisfaction though of findlng one Senior The class play was g1V6n ln October The play was entltled HJust Ducky,n and was under the d1rect1on of Mr Donald Senne The energetlc Juniors sold pop, candy, popcorn and apples at the home basketball games that wlnter Thls was done to ra1se money for thelr banquet whlch was to be g1ven 1n the sprlng After much hard work and da1ly practlce 2A members of the class earned the1r 30 word certiflcates ln typlng Jane Bell earned a AO word p1n Jane Ruby recelved botk her Lb and 50 word pins In sports that year, Basketball letters were awarded to Gene Cay ler, Lyle Hames and Bob Doyle Girls receivlng Basketball Chevrons were Arlene Greufe, Irene Greufe, Marlene Shelton, and Gloria Holt kamp In Baseball, Burton D1ck1nson was the only one to recelve a letter Those rece1v1ng Baseball Chevrons were Bob Doyle, Gene Cay ler, Ronny Knickerbocker, and Bllly 5111303 Durlng the year 13 members of the class were actlve on the staff of the SCkRLET AND BLnCK In May of that year the Juniors edited the last issue of the paper in honor of the class of l95O The theme of the banquet was W howboat Bllly Ellison and Mary Dagit represented the school as cheer leaders that year The Senior year saw all 27 of them back to face the last year of high school together Class offlcers for the year were Presldent Burton Dlckinson, V1ce Presldent Lyle Hames, Secretary Dora Jane Cady, and Treasurer John Ricke The Seniors won thelr hunt that fall with only one group belng caught In November the Sen1ors Journeyed to Des Moines to have thelr pictures taken After the pictures were taken the rema1nder of the day was spent touring radio stations, the uapltal and other places of interest In our last semester of school may thlngs happened that we shall remember for many years to come These were the Senior Class play, skip day, May Breakfast, the Junior Senlor Banquet and last, the day we had long awaited, graduation Ill 4 lhli' C S HFLVIG HONAnD FEAR HARPNAHL Will1ams, Iowa W1ll1ams, Iowa . . KIXJR ,Q I ASS PROPHE After wonder1ng about my old classmates and trylng to flnd out what they are do1ng, I flnally resorted to those famous books, 'Who' Who,' and 'What's That9' What do you suppose I found9 Belleve lt or not, everyone ln the class of 1951 has made a name for himself and is listed 1n one or the other of these books In thls year of 1965 we flnd Walt D1sney's oroductlons dolng boomlng buslness under the management of Merlyn Ohden On the s1de he is tralning neoole to lmpersonate the anlmals 1n the productlons, uslng h1s own famous method developed back 1U W1ll1ams, Iowa Across the cont1nent 1n New York, we flnd 3 new Chef taklng over the management of the mess hall at the famous Waldorf Astor1a Hotel, none other than NOHSIEUT W1ll1am Elllson He always dld llke to mess around, lH the kltch en, that ls' Under the headlng of Mediclne there are llsted two world renowned nurses, Glorla Holtkamp and Mary Daglt They are orac ticing 1n an oasls 1n the mlddle of the Arablan desert mvery man camel, horse, and dog that comes straggllng lnto the oasls gets treat ed by these famous nurses, who then send the1r natlents on to another old classmate, Dlgser O'Dell D1ck1nson who has set up a thrlvlng buslness He lS an undertaker and part tlme mlnlster, belleve lt or not Also under thls headlng we flnd a Doctor of Psychlatry, Daryl Hoefer Dr Hoefer 1S located 1B h1s magnlflcent office ln New York City He speclallzes 1n electrlcal shock treatment however, lf this doesn't work, he advlses muslcal shock treatment Th1S shock is admlnlstered by the muslcal CVSFSDISU, Jane Ruby Her motto is 'Cure 'em or k1ll 'em!'
