r1ch plantatton ovvner and Elsie sald VN lth his money looks money dlgnlty money proposal of marriage and money Ah just couldn t resist htm She has acqulred a southern drawl and IS the dtgmfled SOClCty leader of her town We hear her husband made her glve up jltterbugglng when she marrled htm After devouring Bob s hamburgers and drlnkmg a Bromo just ln case we went back to the plane and flew toward New York Arrlvtng ln New York we at once headed for Carnegie Hall The talked about Girl Wonder at the Plano was there to night We enjoyed her perfor mance and went backstage to mters xew her We asked her mother s name She saxd Mama s name was Bette Fear but she ts married and her name IS different now Pap name IS jlm but Mama calls h1m lots of different names The fact that Bette married her hxgh school fellow shocked one of the people 1n our party so badly that he fell over and cracked hxs head open We called an amublance whlch came immediately The drlver walked ln and 1t was our old classmate Laurence Rlcke He explalned that all of the ambulances were busy so he brought his business vehicle for us to use He has gone into the duggmg business He told us that Sadie Maubach has a flortst shop next to h1s place of business and that they work together She decorates the church and he decorates all the other thmgs essential for a mce funeral servlce Laurence makes a lovely undertaker The victim of shock was rushed to the hospital The head surgeon was called an on the case She IS a slave driver according tothe nurses whowork under her She came mto the room dressed in white clothmg We hardly recogntzed Paulme Greufe When we asked her why she went mto surgery she remarked Well I alwavs was handy with a Jack knife Leaving our frtend in the hospital to recover under Paulme s care we drove down town What s that ahead? There IS a big crowd gathered around and the cops are trying to break up a fight Thus IS takmg place in front of a Chevrolet and a ord garage A cop comes and tells us if we want to lwe to stay back This is a personal fxght and those two are really mad It is Becky I-loltkamp and Phlhs Brighton the two garage dealers settling a disagreement Oh those two are stxll argumg That s the last straw We will have to close and watch thus fight CLASS MOTTO Not at the top but climbing CLASS COLORS' Green and silver CLASS FLOWER Yellow Rose . - , - - an 7' - . .
