Etfective School Policies School Board Composed ot civic-minded members appointed by the Burlington City Council, the Burlington Board of Educa- tion perform their duties without pay. Appointed for six year staggered'terms. their duties include encourag- ing the development and improvement of the city's edu- cational program, electing a superintendent of schools. and adopting all:-udget.
