The New York Reunion lllll ninth Annual lVIid-VVinter Dinner of Williams Alumni was held K 'X mf! in New York at the VValdorf-Astoria Hotel, on the evening of by Winthrop Clarey '07, to the class of 1869, which had seven out of ten living., members present. The cup has been awarded to this same class for P111 - 4 February Q. The cup for attendance at the dinner was presented i 'Tri' 'Gr ' ly- the past two years. Contrary to the custom of former dinners, only one speaker appeared on the program. Dr. Garfield gave an informative address concerning the opening of the new library and its value to the College, the new dormitory which will be completed by next fall, the Freshman dining hall proposition, and the site which has been tentatively selected for the new gymnasium. On the conclusion of the President's remarks, a burlesque was presented by various of the Alumni. Dr. Meiklejohn, Charles Evans Hughes, George Rudnick, and other leading lights in educational, diplomatic, and commercial fields, received their due share of publicity. It is rumored that the actors were pro- tected by barbed-wire entanglements, and no casualties were reported at the conclusion of the Passion Play. We append the cast of characters, together with a list of those whom the courts hold responsible for the production:- 32
