Received his MA. from 1Villiams in 1905, and his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University, where he held a Fellowsliip in Chemistry, in 1908. Appointed Instructor in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Illinois in 1908. ffalled to Williams as Instructor in Chemistry in 1909, and was made Assistant Professor in 1910, and Professor in 1917.
