l 1 What now Dr. Shaw? The Archaeological Association was organized this year for the purpose of learning the methods of excavating and to contribute some useful data to the field of archaeology. Dr. Charles H. Shaw, an archaeologist with many years of experience in the Holy Land, is the leader of the Association and overseer of the excavation. The Association began excavating in September in search for the remains of Fort Sinclair, a British fort built in 1763, in St. Clair, Michigan. The fort was in exist- ence for about twenty-five years and it was the summer home for Lieutenant Patrick Sinclair, who was in charge of British shipping on the Great Lakes. lean Baptiste de Sable, the founder of pre- sent day Chicago, was also at Fort Sinclair for a long period before he went west. The goal is that all artifacts will be given to the City of St. Clair upon completion of the study and future plans of rebuilding the fort. DHRO 7 CIW RESTU MISSION Three and a half years ago, a man had a vision of seeing inner-city boys and girls coming to a saving knowledge of jesus Christ through Child Evangelism at the Detroit City Rescue Mission. In the three and a half years since, thousands have accepted Christ as their own personal Saviour. Originally Child Evangelism met once a week with approximately five students from DBC helping in the programs. Last year with over ten active DBC students, they saw over fifty first time decisions for Christ in just one week. God has greatly blessed and used this ministry as an outreach to the boys and girls in the inner city. The greatest proof of His working is the love for them which He has given to those who have worked with them. The girl pictured above not only accepted Christ as her own personal Saviour at Child Evangelism but later led two of her friends to accept Him as well. She also directed another one of her friends to one of the DBC students to accept Christ. Diane Wisner teaches a new Christmas song to the boys and girls. Linda Miller helps collect the hymn books and Bibles before Bible Club begins.
