We couple the memories of one with the visions of the other. For the future-we appraise ourselves and take stock of those qualities which make us what we are. We recognize our short comings, but set our sights in life high enough to challenge, yet not so high as to oe out of reach. We will use our faith in God and be- lief in self to turn the discouragements and defeats that enter every life into stepping stones to success. For the past-we congratulate our parents and teachers for their patience, good humor, and inspiration that provided the incentive for our twelve years of schooling. We feel privileged to be the first graduating class of William Tennent High School and hope that our short stay has made a good beginning for The William Tennent High School Story. Our last year of high school was full of busy exciting days and brought many experiences which this book will keep alive in years to come.
