Our President Dr. S. A. Watson November 6, 1958 Dear Friends: Teamwork is the secret of success in every activity of life--and teamwork is based on understanding and confi- dence. The players must understand each other and their coach and have confidence if success is to be achieved. Another name for confidence is faith, and we read that faith is the substance of things hoped for. So, here at Penn we are a team that expects to win in every phase of our college enterprise. We are now engaged in the toughest game of our schedule. The first half is not over yet and we are winning. However, we must keep up the good work to be assured of victory. Like William Penn, our college's patron saint, we need to be honest and intelligent in business, politics, education and religion.
