P THE CLASS OF 1946 In the fall of 1942 a group of fun-loving freshmen, fresh from their high school successes, gather- ed on the Penn campus. This group, banded together under green hats, soon got in the swing of activity. They participated enthusiastically in all phases of campus life. However, this class of enthusiastic freshmen soon dwindled in number. Uncle Sam called many of their males before the year was over, and soon their class was mostly made of girls. By now, though, two of these veterans have returned to join the ranks of this class. Four years, full of work and play, have sped byg and this spring the remaining members of that class graduated. Though one of the smallest graduating classes in Penn's history, the seniors make up in quality what they lack in quantity. Their achievements in the classroom and in the many extra- curicular activities have been many and great. We hate to see them go, well miss them much. But to these seniors, our friends and classmates, we doff our hats and say GOOD LUCK', 23
