Meredith Parry Principal Dr. Parry, as principal of William Penn, is charged with the enforcement of all rules and regulations prescribed by the Superintendent of Schools and the School Board as they pertain to this building. He is responsible for the education of all public school students of senior high age residing in the York City School District, aided by the teachers, he must therefore keep pro- per records of attendance, enrollment and budget. The principal is also re- sponsible for the supervision of the work of all professional employees un- der school contract, for matters per- taining to discipline and for the order- ing of books and supplies, All such records are forwarded to the Superin- tendent's Office. Oscar A. Delle Assistant Principal lt is the general responsibility of the Assistant Principal to work alongside the Principal for educational improve- ment. More specific functions include: performing the duties of School Treas- urer, scheduling which includes in- dividual schedules for students and teachers, a master schedule and a room utilization schedule plus adjust- ment of such when necessary, Mr. Delle also supervises arrangements for graduation, class standing, individual honors and preparation of report cards. Brown's duties are many and varied. He recommends, after due conferences with personnel concerned, courses of study to be followed and appropriate textbooks to be purchased. The nomination for election by the Board of all professional personnel is also his responsibility, he then assigns positions to those elected. Reports of the budget and the conditions in the schools are made regularly by Dr. Brown to the Board. Each year the Superintendent is required to submit a summarized report concerning the progress and problems of the York City Schools to the Board of School Directors. Sow- s and sup- Luther B. Walters Assistant Superintendent of Schools The Assistant Superintendent is em- powered to Oct in place of the Super- intendent when the Superintendent is absent. His specific duties include in- terviewing all candidates for positions in the school district, supervising cur- riculum programs and methods of in- struction, and directing Special Serv- ices for students. Dr. Walters is under direct supervision by the Board of School Directors and the Superintend- ent.
