The class of '56 is proud to dedicate its yearbook to our mentor and friend, Dr. Edward A. Glatfelter, principal of William Penn. Through the years Dr. Glatfelter has given of his time loyally and patiently to make William Penn the outstanding school it is. We will never be able to repay completely Dr. Glat- felter for his expert guidance, but his exceptional life will always be a goal that we will try to measureup to in the world we want. After many years of faithful service our principal's memory will live on in the hearts of the thousands of alumni and students .whose lives have been guided and deeply enriched by knowing him.
